Dani Pedrosa dominated the race and won victory in the Spanish Grand Prix on the track "Jerez" while Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo touched the last zavoy.Pedrosa spearheaded by Lorenzo at the start of the race, but then lost his place in the second turn. Then Lorenzo and Pedrosa break away from the rest of the competitors in the sixth round when the star of Honda again returned to the leadership.

Pedrosa then no problems to hold the lead and triumph, while Lorenzo had to focus on debutant Marc Marquez. The latter deal with the departed in a wonderful way and Valentino Rossi had reached third place. Marquez looked like he had given up the fight with Lorenzo after several unsuccessful attempts, but came back in the latter stages of the race and stick to the current world champion. 20-year-old youngster Lorenzo pressed into the last corner, already named Jorge. Marquez ducked inside of the turn while Lorenzo chose to stay outside trajectory. Then, the two touched, as Lorenzo was pushed out of bounds on the track and had to settle for third place. While they argued for second place, Valentino Rossi all alone spent most of the race and finished fourth at 9 sec. the winner. Cal Crutchlow finished fifth, followed by Álvaro Bautista and Nicky Hayden. Andrea Dovizioso, Espargaró and Smith completed the top 10 places.
