Jorge Lorenzo for the second time World champion at triumph of Stoner in Australia

Jorge Lorenzo secured second world title in the premier class in motorcycle (MotoGP), after finishing second in the Grand Prix of Australia. The race track "Phillip Island" was won by local favorite Casey Stoner with Honda. The fight for the title this year was decided on the second lap when Lorenzo’s rival Dani Pedrosa dropped out.

Droved from pole position Stoner fell from first to third place in the extinction of lights and Lorenzo jumped. Determined to fight for the fourth consecutive victory, Pedrosa brought his Honda on first position for braking hairpin. Giving everything however Danny lost control of the front, attacking with high speed the very same cornering, but in the second lap. Lorenzo then it was no reason to even try to catch Stoner who was clearly in its own league in this competition. In his penultimate race before the end of his career, Stoner was able to record sixth consecutive victory in his home Grand Prix and there was no problem to hold its lead over Lorenzo. Cal Krachlou managed to escape from the column at the beginning and take the last spot on the podium. His teammate Tech-3 Andrea Dovizioso had a much more difficult task in the fight for fourth place. He still managed to win the battle with Alvaro Bautista and Stephen Brandon. Valentino Rossi’s Ducati brought to seventh place after another new disappointing performance.
